Parade Party
Our Division is one of the co-sponsors of the Somerville St. Patrick's Day parade which is held on the Sunday before St. Patrick's Day. The parade starts at 1:30 and begins at Groove and Main St and that's where we meet for the step-off. All Hibernians and their family can march in the parade. The chairman of the parade, Bill Cooper is an Hibernian Brother along with most of the parade committee.
After the parade, all members are welcome to attend the "after-parade" party at the Somerville Knights of Columbus Hall. A small donation of $5 is requested. We have free Irish Steak Sandwiches(Hot Dogs) and free liquid refreshments. Music entertainment is provided by McCool Sounds (Grace Burns), and the Irish Thunder Pipe Band from AOH Div1,Montgomery County Pa. Our DJ plays plenty of Ceili numbers for everyone to get up and dance. The party usually ends around 5:00. Its a great time, so bring the family!
